Cotton is the 1st cash crop in Chad. Three varieties of cotton are grown in Chad only in this area. Bring the cotton sowing fertilizer and urea cover. The treatments against insects and diseases are often considered and encouraged by the extension service. This is the only culture that enjoys special attention from the government.
Sowing should be via drill so that the seed can b e burried 2 - 2.5 inches under soil. Distance between the rows should be 2.5 ft. Distance between the plants should be 6-9 inches. Organic matter should be used more and for this purpose the remains of plants should be burried in soil.
