It is a territory that presents a relief with mountains, hills, alluvial plains [Source: SEDALP]. It has a cold-arid climate, with sharp differences in daily temperature and amounts of precipitation that decrease from north to south. The average temperature during the day is between 15 and 20 °C, but with the tropical summer and the sun, temperatures can reach 27 °C; However just after dark the air retains little heat, at night temperatures drop drastically to just above freezing [Source: Wikipedia].
Interandinos valleys
They are located in the Departments of the central regions of Cochabamba and Chuquisaca and regions of La Paz. These are where the humid northeasterly winds are pushed up into the mountains, making this area wetter and rainier. The valleys that are within the Eastern Cordillera have mild temperatures and the amounts of precipitation are moderate with an average of 640 to 760 mm per year (Source: Wikipedia]
