Plain Imbo
Located north-south-west. Elevation: 750-1000 m, vegetation dominated by savannas heurbeuses, gently undulating terrain. Crossed by many rivers originating from the ridge and flowing into Lake Tanganyika part of the Congo River basin. Soil mixtures vertisols of régogley, of hygroxéroferrisols and fertile hygroferralsols black-brown earth. Rainfall: 500 -1000 mm / year. Temperature: 20-30 ° C / year. 4 to 5 months of dry season (June-September).
Region high altitudes
Located around the Congo-Nile between cotgreforts of Mumirwa and the central highlands. Altitude: 1750-2600 m, vegetation mountain ranges of eragostris constituted by the Congo-Nile.
