Continental region
Called Rio Muni, is bounded to the north by Cameroon, south and east by Gabon and West with the Atlantic Ocean with an area of 26017.46 km2; Account with two dry seasons (June to August, the great drought, and from December to February the little drought) and two wet seasons (March-May, with approved by the moderators rains and strong thunderstorms), between September-November heavy rains. The average rainfall is 2,200 mm / anné. The predominant soil on the continent is red ferralitique (laterites).
Insular region
is of volcanic origin consisting of Islands with Bioko 2.035km2, and Annobon island with an extension of 17 km2, is located south of the Republic of Sao Tome Principe. The island of Bioko with two seasons: Nov.-April, with relative sécheraisse and between May-October with the rains.
