Plain Imbo
Located north-south-west. Elevation: 750-1000 m, vegetation dominated by savannas heurbeuses, gently undulating terrain. Crossed by many rivers originating from the ridge and flowing into Lake Tanganyika part of the Congo River basin. Soil mixtures vertisols of régogley, of hygroxéroferrisols and fertile hygroferralsols black-brown earth. Rainfall: 500 -1000 mm / year. Temperature: 20-30 ° C / year. 4 to 5 months of dry season (June-September).
Regions Central Highlands
central region extending from North to South of the country between the high mountains and depressions of the East. Altitude: 1400-1800 m, steep terrain with many swamps.
