It is located in the center of the country, bordering the Caribbean region to the north, Venezuela to the northeast, Orinoquía to the east, Amazonia to the southeast, Ecuador to the south, and the Pacific region to the west. It occupies 24% of the territory of Colombia, with altitudinal ranges from 5,410 meters above sea level to 100 meters above sea level and an average altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level. The departments that are in this Region are Antioquia, Bocayá, Caldas, Cundinamarca, Huila, Norte De Santander, Qundío, Risaralda, Santander and Tolima.
